So- crystal grids.  What the heck are those? you may ask.  Or you may be very familiar with them and have created your own.  If you haven’t heard of them or don’t know, a crystal grid is a configuration of specific crystals and stones energized with your focused intention for a desired outcome.  They can be very powerful and effective, created for anything from financial abundance, health, healing, love, creativity, and the list goes on, limited only by imagination.

I’ve created a few over the years, and recently my interest in them was re-awakened and I got thirsty for more knowledge, so I started digging and discovered a super-cool and informative book by Hibiscus Moon, a really upbeat, fun and refreshing author and crystal expert.  I read her book on crystal grids and got some inspiration.  She’s awesome and if you’re a crystal freak like I am you should look her up.  Then I got to thinking… I love the grids, their energy and what they do, but what if I want that vibration in my field ALL the time, not just when I’m home in my sacred space?  Well, what’s portable and wearable, beautiful, versatile and can carry any meaning we ascribe to it, aaaaand makes one feel special when they wear it?  Well duh, JEWELRY, of course!  Yeah, I went and created a crystal grid necklace.  For Love.  It’s really pretty.  It was my first effort at creating such a complex piece and was technically challenging.  I almost melted it more than once!  It has 9-count ‘em- 9! stones set onto an etched copper disk. 

Allow me to tell about the set stones in the grid pendant and why they’re in my necklace recipe.

Rose quartz: the ultimate heart chakra stone.  For unconditional, romantic and peaceful love.

Garnet: inspires deep love and devotion, passion or serenity as appropriate.

Quartz: focuses and amplifies the energies of all the stones.

Amethyst: for a highly spiritual union.

Turquoise: enhances trust, kindness, intuitive/psychic attunement to each other, stimulates romantic love.

Lapis Lazuli: ability to connect the mind and heart.  In love, this can be very important. ;)

It has been my experience and observation (and I’m not alone), that people are seeking a deeper partnership in intimate romantic relationships.  We are seeking more from life, awakening to our innate Divinity, and searching for someone with whom we can fulfill our Soul Purpose.  Anymore, it’s not only about economic security or finding someone who will like the same movies and music we do (although those reasons are not to be poo-pooed either!).  It’s become more about finding the person who will accept the dark in us as well as the light, and will push us to our greatest potential while being there to catch us if we fall, which we inevitably will from time to time.  This gorgeous necklace has all those possibilites, and more, built into it by me.  And of course I charged all the crystals so they are positively bursting with good juju.  I love this necklace and I hope you do too, if you decide it’s for you.  Find it in my Etsy shop.

I'd like to tell you a story now...

Once upon a time, a lady -I’ll name her Real- performed a summoning. In answer to her call, a man I will name Magic appeared to her.  Let me clarify that she had no way of knowing who would hear her call and come.  However, it was immediately evident that Magic and Real knew each other from previous times spent together in the distant past. They met in a Field beyond the limits of time or space, and when they met in this ethereal place, he remembered her and she remembered him, although some of the memories were quite foggy indeed, being so ancient.  Upon recognition of each other Real and Magic were truly overjoyed at finding one another again and their hearts merged effortlessly, filling them both with Cosmic Light and overflowing Love.  Little did Real know the level of healing and awareness that Magic would bring to her.  Almost immediately he reached deep down into her heart, pulled out the dusty remains of a stormy old relationship mired in resentfulness and turned it around so she was able to see it from a completely different angle.  This simple act cleansed Real’s heart and consciousness and miraculously, instantaneously, released the pain she was not even aware she had been carrying through the years.  Consequently, Real was able to return to one of her passions, a passion on which she had turned her back years ago-because it linked her to the same stormy destructive relationship she had ended. 

Magic was also her protector and would often stand behind her with a hand on her right shoulder, as a reminder of the safety and unconditional support he wished to provide for her in the world.  He acted as her sentinel.

Magic and Real forged a heart and soul-centered, empathic and psychic connection unlike anything Real had ever known in her life.  Well, in *this* life anyway.  They connected and communed with each other on many levels.  And interestingly, Magic demonstrated to Real how she could be more “real”-more herself- without being shy or reserved about it.  He did this for her simply by example.  He was himself… he was real.  This truth dawned on her gradually until she arrived at the realization that no matter what occurred, she would never, ever attempt to manipulate or change who Magic was.  For Real, this was another shift within-and yet another gift from Magic. 

 And what, you may ask, did Real do for Magic?  What healing or awakening did she provide for him?  I believe it was this: she performed/became magic to bring him into her world, and his heart was opened to her and to the possibility of Divine Love.  She was Magic so that he could become Real.  So as you can see, Magic and Real are forever intertwined.  Now that, my friends, is some Real Magic.

As someone I’ve never met face-to-face once quipped:  “I believe in magic… so if it’s not magic, it’s not real…”
