How will I ever heal my broken heart??
Is your heart at the mercy of a universe that enjoys sick jokes? It can totally feel like that’s the case when you have an experience that rends your heart in two. It can lead to profound questioning and perhaps even to the conclusion that you’re destined to be alone. However, the truth is a lot less malicious and so much more benign. It’s important to remember that the free will of others often has nothing to do with you. It’s also critical to understand the unconscious patterns you can unknowingly be perpetuating, which often originate in past life choices and events. Uncovering the root cause of your heartache is very comforting because: *you gain consciousness around the why *you are able to release self-blame *you inevitably begin to heal emotionally and spiritually You owe it to yourself and your beautiful heart to heal the pain and loss. If you’re familiar with the term but don’t have a thorough understanding of what shadow work is, it can definitely be intimidating. Perhaps visions of slowly descending into madness come to mind; or maybe a scenario that’s a little less dramatic but no more fun: of being so fearful of living life that you turn into a hermit. And initially, the prospect of going deep into your unconscious might be slightly off-putting. It isn’t an easy thing- looking at the parts of yourself that are not-so-pretty.
In actuality though, the results of consciously working with your shadow can be life-changing. You can: *experience more profound self-love *have a broader understanding of why you do what you do Working with the unconscious in a conscious (ha! see what I did there?) way is extremely empowering. The root cause of the painful issue is brought to light. It is transmuted and integrated, and you become more of who you really are, which is a shining, powerful creator. Is it time to embrace your shadow? “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” Carl Jung Shine on, Sara |
